Ex-Tottenham and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson doesn’t expect Arsenal will get another chance to win the title any time soon if they don’t make it happen this season.

The Gunners have dropped to second in the table on goal difference after Wednesday’s defeat to Manchester City but Robinson believes Mikel Arteta’s side will never have a better opportunity to finish top:

If Arsenal don’t win the title this season then I don’t think they will for another 20 years. Everyone’s getting stronger.

Robinson is being pretty sensationalist with his remarks. You can definitely argue that, as the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea have had poor seasons, it has presented Arsenal with a clear opening, which may not reoccur in the future.

However, this Gunners’ squad is still very young and you would back them to get even better in the coming years. No matter whether they win the league this campaign or not, they will be in contention for the title once again very soon, regardless of what their opponents are doing.
