Parlour Predicts Where Arsenal Will Finish This Season As He Makes Controversial Claim About Chelsea

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes his former club could finish third in the Premier League if everything goes to plan this season.

While the former midfielder says that Manchester City will win the title, with Liverpool as runners-up once again, he feels the Gunners could be the best of the rest, as long as they bring in one more signing this summer:

“I would go Manchester City to win it. Then Liverpool, definitely. I think Arsenal have to aim for third. That’s going to be their aim. If they can keep everyone fit, one more player coming in, then they have a decent squad. So I am going to go third for Arsenal and then Spurs will be good [for fourth].”

Parlour claims that Chelsea could be the team that miss out on the top four this campaign, as he doesn’t believe they have been able to bring in the players they need during the transfer window:

“I think Chelsea are going to struggle this season. Unless they make some signings, they might make a couple before the window closes and then you might change your mind.”

It’s an optimistic prediction from Parlour, which isn’t surprising, but there is a lot of positivity about Arsenal’s chances heading into the new season.

Many still feel that Mikel Arteta’s side are light of options in the middle of the park but, in general, they have strengthened in key areas over the last couple of months, and that should hold them in good stead as they look to secure Champions League qualification.
