“It Could Be A Possibility…” Romano Reveals What He Knows About Arsenal’s Next Move After Zinchenko

Arsenal will continue recruiting players even after Oleksandr Zinchenko signs from Manchester City, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist believes that, while bringing in a midfielder (such as Youri Tielemans) is an option, he feels it’s more likely that the Gunners will pursue a winger:

“Arsenal will be active till the end, honestly. As you mentioned Tielemans is a player that they’ve always been interested in but let’s see what happens with wingers because they wanted Raphinha so they’ve been exploring other alternatives in that position. So if something good will appear in the market, it could be a possibility. So, Zinchenko is the priority but Arsenal are not done. So I expect them to move for other players.”

Manager Mikel Arteta has suggested that Arsenal will start to focus on selling players once Zinchenko’s move is made official but it appears as if the club’s summer recruitment will continue at a pace.

The Gunners have already brought in the likes of Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus, Marquinhos and Matt Turner for fees amounting to £82m and that will rise to £112m when Zinchenko joins.

However, Romano claimsArsenal are planning an equally radical overhaul of the squad as last year when they racked up a transfer spend of £150m on six players. The club’s intention to finish in the top four is very clear.
