The Gunners don’t have to worry about losing their two star players even though the lack of trophies led to rumors regarding their departures. Sanchez showed signs of disappointment after losing important Premier League matches and expressed his frustration with the way some of his colleagues play but insisted he is here to win trophies. The 27-year-old winger who has yet to win the Champions League is convinced Arsenal will bring that trophy eventually even though this year is a bust. After Sanchez expressed his desire to stay, it`s Ozil’s turn to rubbish rumors that he is planning his departure. According to Sky Sports, the German midfielder is more than happy with the Gunners and is planning to stay. It looks like the atmosphere created by Wenger and the team are more than enough for the former Real Madrid man who left the Spaniards despite having the chance to win all possible trophies with the Madrid giants.

The fact is that even though Arsenal haven’t won anything big in a while they are becoming more and more attractive for players with star quality. Before Sanchez and Ozil, people said it would be impossible to see players like these to accept moving to North London. Wenger proved them wrong and managed to convince Ozil and Sanchez to move to the UK.

It shouldn’t be long until both sign contract extensions. Ozil’s contract is set to expire in 2018 as he is already in his 3rd year with Arsenal. If he sticks around for 2-3 more years, he is surely bound to pick up at least one major trophy. It`s the same with Sanchez who will end his contract in 2018. Extending contracts is a very laborious process at Emirates as seen with players like Walcott and many others. Hopefully they will move fast and secure these two players who can always win you a match regardless of the adversary. Maybe getting one or two new star quality team mates will also influence their choice.
