Owen Predicts The Outcome Of Arsenal’s Clash Against Manchester United

Former England striker Michael Owen believes Mikel Arteta will get his first win as Arsenal manager when they take on Manchester United this evening.

The TV pundit says the Gunners’ first-half performance against Chelsea in the 2-1 defeat last weekend showed that the Spaniard is making an impact at the Emirates and he thinks they will come out on top tonight:

“I expect them to build on their improved display against a United side who picked up three points and a rare clean sheet – their first on their travels in the league since February – at Turf Moor on Saturday. This is a fixture that rarely disappoints, and I think the hosts will keep the points.”

It’s a bold prediction for a game that is very hard to call considering the inconsistent performances from both teams this season. United have shown they are a major threat when they are on form. Their win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium was a clear demonstration of that.

However, they’ve also put in some very poor displays such as the defeat away at Watford. If the Red Devils are even slightly off their game this evening, though, Arsenal should have enough about them to see off their opponents.
