RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano wants a move to the Premier League, according to Jan Aage Fjortoft. The former footballer turned journalist believes the Frenchman will hold out for a switch to England in the summer, with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested:

Considering the Gunners are 15th in the table going into tonight’s game against Southampton, many supporters on Twitter don’t believe the defender is a realistic target for the club:
No way he's coming to our dumpster fire

Upamecano is a top-class centre-half but, as many fans point out, there is no reason to believe that he could be convinced to move to Arsenal at the moment, considering their current position in the league.
If Gunners do recover from their poor start, and manager Mikel Arteta is able to guide them to a respectable league finish, then perhaps the situation may change next summer when the France international becomes available. A release clause of €42m (£38m) will reportedly come into effect in June.
