Merson Predicts The Outcome Of Arsenal’s Game Against Brighton

TV pundit Paul Merson doesn’t see Arsenal slipping up against Brighton this afternoon.

Manager Unai Emery is likely to make a number of changes with the second leg of the Europa League semi-final coming up next week.

Despite that, Merson thinks the Gunners will be looking to keep up with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United for the last Champions League place:

“I can’t see anything but an Arsenal win, they need to win to keep the pressure on.”

The former Arsenal midfielder expects the home side to come out comfortable 3-0 winners against the Seagulls.

It could be argued that Brighton may be more up for the match than the Gunners, with their Premier League status on the line. However, they have played very negatively away from home this season and will likely sit back to hold out for a draw.

If Emery’s men get an early goal then this should be an easy win as Merson predicts, but as they showed against Tottenham, the South Coast side can be tough to break down.
