Martinelli And Bellerin To Start, Lacazette And Maitland Niles Benched: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Chelsea

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta would have been happy with certain parts of the Gunners’ performance against Bournemouth last time out, but he will want them to be more clinical in front of goal when they face Chelsea this weekend.

In defence, Hector Bellerin could make his comeback from a hamstring injury, replacing Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the side. Calum Chambers is back from suspension and may replace Sokratis who suffered a head injury versus the Cherries.

The midfield will probably stay unchanged from the draw at the Vitality Stadium, with Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira playing holding roles and Mesut Ozil playing in the number 10 position.

Any alteration to the front three is likely to depend on Gabriel Martinelli’s fitness. If the Brazilian is available, he could replace Alexandre Lacazette in the side with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang moving into his favoured central role.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Chelsea:

Leno, Bellerin, Chambers, Luiz, Saka, Torreira, Ozil, Xhaka, Pepe, Aubameyang, Martinelli
