Keep It Up And The Premier League Trophy Will Come To Emirates

Arsenal were only 6 minutes away from moving to first place but City scored a late penalty to defeat Norwich. Not to worry though as Wenger’s boys showed real character and netted 3 before the final whistle against Swansea. Giroud and Koscielny scored again, followed by Campbell who finally got his first goal for the Gunners. Even though things did not start well for the Londoners, they managed to turn it around in the second half with a header from Giroud who successfully took over Walcott’s place.

The first half did not offer that much other than a glimpse into how great of a defender Hector Bellerin can become. Sure his direct opponent got past him a couple of times but he always bounced back. He also ran 60m to deflect a ball that almost got passed Cech and could have ended in the net, not to mention the fact that he risked getting badly injured to save Arsenal from letting in another goal. He smashed himself into the post but kept Ayew from scoring and even if he did so after offside had already been given, proved the fans he is all in when it comes to his team.

There were a few scary moments during the game when Giroud and Bellerin went down on the pitch and had to have the medics come in. All good though which is kind of amazing considering the fact that Arsenal have used the least players in this Premier League season.

All eyes are now pointed towards Munich where Arsenal will be facing the mighty Bayern. They will need a win or at least a draw to continue in the Champions League, although, it would not be a bad season if Wenger gets the Premier League and brings home the Europa League title. It would be a great preamble for next year when with one or two big transfers they could be very serious contenders for the Champions League.
