Kallstrom Close To Making Arsenal Bow

With Arsenal completely inactive until the last day of the January transfer window, they moved to secure the services of Kim Kallstrom on loan from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow. That was the only piece of business Arsenal had to show for the entire month’s efforts, but what failed to go down well with the Arsenal fans was the fact that they had brought in a player who was already injured.

The Swedish midfielder is still recuperating from a fractured vertebrae and is currently receiving treatment for the injury. There were initial fears that this injury would be a long one, however what has delighted the Gunners is the latest news from the Swedish national team’s medical division, revealing that Kallstrom has made exceptional progress and that he is ready to make a swift return to playing very soon, as reported by the Mirror.

The 31-year old should be back for the North London derby against Tottenham next week, but he could also be in the reckoning for a place in the squad for this weekend’s FA Cup clash against Everton. He is set to join Aaron Ramsey in returning from injury, and the return of the duo could really help Arsenal as they prepare for their massive month of March.
