Arsenal will look to sell midfielders Matteo Guendouzi and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to Football.London journalist James Benge.

The websites’ Gunners’ correspondent says the London club are “prepared to listen to offers for” both players as head coach Mikel Arteta looks to overhaul his midfield ahead of next season.

Guendouzi’s departure is not a surprise considering he has not featured in a matchday squad since the 2-1 defeat to Brighton.

Maitland-Niles’ future, though, had been up in the air. The 22-year-old did feature prominently in Arteta’s first few games in charge but he has been used sparingly in recent months.

Cedric Soares was brought in on loan from Southampton in January to provided competition for Hector Bellerin, leaving Maitland-Niles with very opportunities to get minutes as an auxiliary fullback.

He did come on for the closing stages of the 2-1 win against Liverpool, but his only start since January came against Sheffield United in the FA Cup quarter-final last month.
