Journalist Confirms 60M Rated French Ace Is “Admired” By Arsenal But There’s A Problem

Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby is a player who is “admired” by Arsenal, according to journalist Ryan Taylor.

The Daily Express reporter says the France international is very much on the Gunners’ radar, but Leverkusen’s reluctance to sell means any transfer would be very difficult to negotiate:

“Moussa Diaby is the other name that’s admired. But as we know, Leverkusen are not really in a position where they need to sell unless it’s a ridiculous offer that arrives.”

It has been reported that Leverkusen could demand between £60m and £65m for Diaby, which is a very high figure, so that is likely why Mikel Arteta’s side have been prioritising other targets.

If you also consider the fact that teams are hesitant to sell players so close to the end of the transfer window, due to the fact there is limited time to find a replacement, it seems a move for Diaby would be unrealistic.

Arsenal’s current focus is thought to be on Pedro Neto. The Portuguese international’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been making teams aware that the winger could be on the move this summer, although Wolves are not believed to be willing sellers.
