Journalist Claims 68M Rated Teenage Sensation Is “Excited” By Potential Arsenal Switch

Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino would relish the prospect of a transfer to Arsenal, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The former Eurosport columnist has suggested that the Gunners are tracking the teenager and, if the London club do make an offer before the transfer deadline, the player is willing to make the move:

“They are still on the case of Yeremy Pino, who scored in a win at the weekend for Villarreal. He’s going to continue to play for his club as normal, but I’m told he is very much open to a transfer like this and would be excited to join Arsenal.”

Pino has an €80m (£68m) release clause but, based on the remarks made by Villarreal head coach Unai Emery recently, it looks as if the Yellow Submarine would be prepared to sell the Spanish international for below that figure.

There have been reports that he could be available for as little as €45m (£38m) but Fabrizio Romano believes a bid in excess of €50m (£42m) would be needed.

It does still appear as if Wolves’ Pedro Neto is the number one priority at the moment but, if a deal can’t be negotiated for the Portuguese star, it’s likely that Arsenal’s attention will switch to Pino.

Other teams, including Liverpool and Chelsea, have also been linked with the 19-year-old, so Mikel Arteta’s side may have to move quickly to secure his signature.
