The 28-year-old, Jackson Martinez was widely tipped to depart Estadio do Dragao in January with some top European clubs chasing his signature. The Colombian has been in terrorising form in front of goal, scoring 54 league goals in just 71 appearances for the Portuguese side.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Martinez in the past and Wenger was reportedly ready to revive his interest in the prolific forward. However, Martinez’s agent Henrique Pompeu has quashed suggestions that his client will seek a move away from Porto in the winter transfer window.

Pompeu revealed that his client is happy at Porto and is targeting titles with his current club, according to Daily Star. He said, “He is happy. He wants to be champion in Portugal and go far in the Champions League. There is plenty of talk, but he has an agreement with Porto and will respect it. He won’t leave in January.”
