“It Could Well Move Quickly…” Ben Jacobs Makes Big Claim About Arsenal’s Interest In 38M Rated La Liga Star

Arsenal “could well move quickly” to sign Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino before the transfer window shuts later this month, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.

The journalist claims there is some substance to reports in Spain that the Gunners are interested in the 19-year-old, and he believes it is definitely a transfer to keep an eye on:

“Unlike some of the other less-substance transfers that we’ve spoken about, the reason why I think Arsenal are a bit more confident in this is because they’re moving for the future, as per Marquinhos, but also, Villarreal are going to have to find income from somewhere. So I would classify this one as one to watch and it could well move quickly.”

Jacobs does back up claims made by Goal reporter Ruben Uria who suggested that Arsenal are indeed lining up an official proposal for Pino.

The teenager is said to have an €80m (£68m) release clause but it is felt that a deal could be struck for close to half that amount, with Villarreal likely to sell if a team tables a bid in the region of €45m (£38m).

With Jacobs’ assertion that the La Liga club need the money, it seems Mikel Arteta’s side could get a very talented young player for a pretty reasonable price.
