Is Wenger Making Way For A Star Quality Striker?

Arsenal fans could be led to believe that Wenger is planning to sign a new striker as Yaya Sanogo is preparing to leave for Ajax.

Wenger recently admitted to the fact that Arsenal will be making at least one or two more transfers during the transfer window. Things started off great as the Frenchman landed Petr Cech right as the summer transfer period started. Even if the rival clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool have pulled of some impressive moves, Arsenal are still waiting. Signs are good according to the Daily Mail as Yaya Sanogo is preparing to leave for Ajax. This might mean a new striker is going to move to Emirates. The 22 year old completed the number nine list next to Welbeck and Giroud who were going to be Wenger’s 1st and 2nd choice.

Apparently, Sango will be joining the Dutch side where former Arsenal legend Denis Bergkamp is the assistant manager. The Gunner has not made the trip to Singapore where Wenger engaged the team in the Barclays Asia Trophy. Hopefully this is a sign that a goal scorer will be joining the North Londoners pretty soon. There are at least three names that could be added to Wenger’s starting eleven for next season. The first and most recent possible target is Karim Benzema who is rumored to have been given the option to leave Real Madrid. The second target who is probably the best investment to make is Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman is a totally different type of player when compared to Giroud and Welbeck, and would boost the scoring rate if he maintains his form. The third option would be Higuain but his transfer sounds more and more farfetched when hearing how much Napoli’s owner is asking for the Argentinian.
