Arsenal are considering a £6m bid for Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa, according to reports in the UK. The Gunners were initially planning to sign the Frenchman on a free transfer in the summer, but the latest injury to Sead Kolasinac has changed their plans.
It is believed that the 27-year-old was originally targeted by former manager Unai Emery who had worked with him at PSG, but the London club have continued to keep tabs on the defender and Mikel Arteta is said to be happy to have him on board to ease his side’s injury crisis at the back.
Fans on Twitter, though, are not so sure that Kurzawa is the right solution:
He’s terrible…. So he’d be perfect for us

No point. We already have two injury prone LBs. Don’t need a third

Honestly no , full backs are not the issue. We need to sort out the defence first. Kolasinac is doing well. KT will come back as well.

There are some supporters, though, who think that he would be a decent backup:

A good short term solution.

It does appear that Arsenal are stepping up their search for a left-back. There are reports in Italy that they have registered their interest in Olympiakos’s Konstantinos Tsimikas but Napoli are said to be looking to snap up the Greek defender as well.
