Arsenal have reportedly had a €55m (£47m) offer rejected by Lazio for midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The Serbian playmaker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle but it appears that the Gunners are the team who have made the first move for the player.

Pay whatever is needed to get this done before we get hijacked and then sign Tielemens too. We can wait on a winger until January if need be.

It should be pointed out that Fabrizio Romano has already downplayed the Gunners’ interest in Milinkovic-Savic. While the 27-year-old is undoubtedly a talented player, Lazio are not expected to sell him on the cheap.
The midfielder could fetch as much as €80m (£69m) and if Lazio stick to that asking price, you would have to think that Arsenal will be pursuing cheaper targets such as Leicester’s Youri Tielemans, Lens’ Seko Fofana or Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz.
