As Arsenal suffered a severe blow to their title aspirations after being swept aside by their London rivals, they were left to hide their faces after the game. So much so, that the players were rushed onto the team bus at the earliest possible moment, and even manager Arsene Wenger avoided the post-match press conference and ducked away swiftly.

There were fears of a media lock down at Arsenal as they even canceled Monday’s’s pre-match press conference ahead of the visit of Swansea City. Wenger perhaps wanted his players to not lose focus for the must win match (which was clearly justified after what turned out to be a 2-2 draw), and had banned his players from using social media. However, the club’s record signing Mesut Ozil has possibly upset him, and the fans after he was seen partying just hours after his team’s thrashing at Stamford Bridge.

Ozil was celebrating his girlfriend Mandy Capristo’s birthday, who put up an image on her Instagram account of Ozil looking in a rather jolly mood at the party, as the Daily Mail report. Apart from the German, his team-mates Nicklas Bendtner and Bacary Sagna were also seen in the picture. Ozil later uploaded the same picture from his personal account, which did not go down too well with Arsenal fans.

The trio could possibly be in for some awkward talks with Wenger, with the Frenchman’s disappontment over the Swansea result certainly not helping his mood.
