With all the talk about Thomas Partey and Gabriel after Arsenal’s win against Manchester United at the weekend, a lot less was made of Hector Bellerin’s display at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard has begun to play consistently well in recent weeks, making good overlapping runs on the right-hand side and delivering good deliveries into the box; one of which should have been converted by Bukayo Saka in the first half versus the Red Devils.
Bellerin has had his form issues over the past few years, and that may be why his recent performances have gone under the radar somewhat. There are, though, some fans on Twitter who have given him credit for the way he has rediscovered his mojo:
Great to have him back in form

People keep saying “back to old form” honestly I think this is the best Hector we’ve seen, so much confidence in his attacking play, really enjoying himself.

Never doubted him ❤️

All of the clowns in our fanbase wanted him gone to PSG?. Glad he's shutting them up with his performances. One of our own❤️

He's not the most aesthetically pleasing full back you'll ever come across, one of the reasons I feel he's become underrated now, however his footballing IQ is one the best itl.

Gotta admire his loyalty too! Amazing determination always and prepared to give his best whenever he can ❤️

I feel that he is disrespected unfairly by a lot of Arsenal fans! He has started this season brilliantly! Some people even wanted Lichtsteiner ahead of him ?

It is easy to forget that Bellerin is still only 25 years of age, considering how long he has been playing in the Gunners’ first team. There is no doubt he has had his ups and down with form and fitness but he is undoubtedly playing some of the best football of his career currently.
