Giroud Thankful For Wenger’s Support

Giroud had to deal with a lot of criticism after admitting to lying to his wife and the club about spending the night with American model Celia Kay. Arsenal’s main man in front of goal was visibly affected by this scandal but fortunately he found the person to turn to. Wenger seems to have managed to help his compatriot set his problems aside and perform as well as possible while on the pitch.

According to Metro, Giroud was able to push through his issues mostly because of Wenger’s ability to show the Frenchman how to use the game as an outlet. During the past two weeks, Arsenal’s striker picked up the pace and got his season total to 18 goals. He scored twice against Everton and looked confident while doing so.

Hopefully for the Gunners, Wenger will continue working his magic. Arsenal’s boss is well known for his ability to boost his players’ morale no matter how difficult the situation. Giroud should be thankful for being given the chance to redeem himself towards the club after lying to the team’s managerial team. Truth be told it was always hard to give up on him especially with so much at stake during the last few months of the season.

The French international seems to have put the past behind him just as he did in even more difficult situations. Wenger always praised Giroud for his professionalism and ability to focus no matter his personal problems. Just a few months back, Arsenal’s striker managed an emotional performance after his grandfather just died. While others may have avoided playing, he never gave up on the club and on Wenger when they needed his help which is probably why the 27 year old is benefiting from their support.

Unfortunately, Giroud was unable to help the Gunners overturn the 2-0 Champions League deficit but on the plus side the FA Cup is well within the Gunners’ grasp and the Premier League is still possible if only a long-shot.
