Giroud Fitness Boost For Arsenal

Olivier Giroud suffered a broken leg earlier this season which was expected to keep him out for the remainder of the calendar year. However, the striker is progressing well and will return to training after the international break which commences on 10th November, according to the Daily Mail.

Wenger claimed that the 28-year-old is ahead of schedule and accepted that it is a ‘big boost’ for the club. He said, “Olivier is miles ahead of schedule. He’s doing very well. He’s three weeks ahead of schedule and he will join normal training after the international break. Of course it’s a big boost.”

The Gunners have had an inconsistent start to the season so far but as expected they rolled over Burnley with relative ease this past weekend 3-0. However, Wilshere is out with a virus and will not be fit for the Champions League match with Anderlecht but Theo Walcott is ok after his 10 minute cameo vs Burnley where he looked good in his short appearance but will need to be reintegrated gradually into the first team.
