Arsenal are increasingly confident of tying down winger Bukayo Saka to a new contract, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira. The Gunners are said to be working hard on an extension that will keep the teenager at the Emirates until 2025.
The 18-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of next season, and the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on developments.
However, the news that Saka is close to committing his long term future to the London club has gone down well among fans on Twitter:
Get that guy more money… He deserves to be amongst the big boys… buying Lambos… hahaha

Considering Saka has become a regular first-team player for Arsenal this campaign, the winger is more than deserving of a new contract. He is said to be only earning around £3,000 a week at the moment, and it’s likely that the main issue in negotiations would be how big his salary increase should be. Supporters will be hoping that the Gunners star’s future is resolved as soon as possible.
