Barcelona’s scouts are monitoring Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, according to Calciomercato.com. The Italian website claims that the La Liga champions are keeping a keen eye on the 18-year-old, following his 10 assists in 28 appearances this campaign.

The wide man’s current contract expires at the end of next season so Barca’s interest isn’t a surprise considering he could be available for a knockdown price if he turns down a new deal.

Saka has also been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United in recent weeks, and speaking out about how contract talks are progressing, the teenager said he is leaving everything to his agent:

“It’s for my agent. They’re sorting it out. Of course, I’m enjoying my football, enjoying playing under the new coach so we’ll see what happens.”

The Gunners will be very keen to tie down the youngster to a new deal considering his form over the past few months. Head coach Mikel Arteta has more often than not utilised him as a fullback, but despite being played out of position, the winger has continued to excel.
