TalkSPORT pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Arsenal will finish second in the Premier League this season, but he expects Liverpool to miss out on the top four entirely.

The two teams have had contrasting starts to the campaign, with the Gunners already nine points ahead of the Reds and Agbonlahor’s prediction for the final league positions reflect that:

“Top four for me would be first place for Manchester City, second place Arsenal, third place Spurs and fourth place Chelsea.”

While Mikel Arteta’s side are in excellent form, and look nailed on for a top four spot at the moment, they do have to face some stern tests in the coming weeks, after what has been a rather kind run of games at the beginning of the season.

Back to back home fixtures against Spurs and Liverpool will definitely give us a better gauge about where they fit in the pecking order. If they come away from the two matches unscathed, Agbonlahor’s prediction that Arsenal could finish the campaign as runners-up will look a lot more attainable.
