Former Arsenal Legend Ray Parlour Plays Electric Blackjack

Former Arsenal and England man, Ray Parlour has previously admitted that he is no stranger to a casino table, however, how would he fare when facing blackjack with a shocking twist?

The Romford Pele sat down alongside The Only Way is Essex star Amy Childs for a game of 888casino’s Electric Blackjack.

The pair, backed by some hot tips from 888casino and their Ultimate Blackjack Strategy Guide sat down at the table under the watchful eye of the master, John Scanlon of Aspers Casino, who was ready and waiting to supply an electric shock for any wrong moves.

The former midfielder, who made 400 appearances for the Gunners, was solid and reliable throughout his playing career, but did he have the nerve at the table.

So, it turns out that a career as a professional gambler was never on the cards for Parlour who was comfortably beaten by Childs.

However, the former Middlesbrough man admitted that the experience had given him a better understanding of the game.

“I know from my playing days that it can be tempting to make quick and rash decisions whilst under pressure,” he said.

“But now I have a better understanding of the blackjack plays and know when to go for another hit. That electric shock hurt more than a Martin Keown tackle though.”
