Could Zlatan Ibrahimovic Move To Arsenal?

Arsenal’s plans to sign a new striker this summer may well have taken a sensational turn, as reports suggest that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be set to re-join Arsenal. The Swede is an unlikely transfer to the Gunners, after failing to make the cut over 10 years ago whilst on trial, but with the north London side looking for a striker and Zlatan apparently ready to leave PSG, who’s to say it couldn’t happen?

Manchester United were also supposed to have expressed an interest in Ibra this summer after the departure of Robin van Persie and Falcao. But more recently it is Arsenal who have been on linked with the controversial player. The 33-year-old recently spoke out about his PSG future, but only fuelled the rumour by admitting his future lies in the hands of his agent.

“Should I stay in Paris? My future is in the hands of Mino Raiola.”

“I do not have another plan, but things can change from one day to another,” he said.

“I cannot say much now, but I belong to PSG and we will continue like that. But the older I get, the more I have to think differently about choosing a club.”

Of course the quotes are fairly old, and the transfer seems ridiculous. However Arsenal are in for a striker, and valued at just £4 million or so due to his age, it seems like a fairly reasonable deal. At 33, Ibrahimovic is at an age where you’d expect a player to slowly decline in ability, but anyone who knows the Swede knows that age is simply a number with one of the world’s best strikers.
