West Brom are looking to sign Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe on loan, according to reports in the English media.
The Baggies have seen a key player in Harvey Barnes recalled by his parent club Leicester City and are looking to sign a replacement during the January transfer window,
Smith Rowe has impressed for the Gunners with his performances in the Europa League this season. He scored two goals in four games as Arsenal progressed from the group stages.
Whether he will continue to play during the knockout rounds, it isn’t known. The only other game time in the first team that the 18-year-old would likely get is in the FA Cup and Unai Emery may feel a spell in the Championship could be beneficial.
West Brom are currently in a battle for promotion, with Darren Moore’s side playing an attacking brand of football that could help Smith Rowe’s development.
