Cavani No Longer On Top Of Arsenal’s Shopping List

Rumors that Edinson Cavani will be coming to the Emirates have been snubbed as the Uruguayan made his plans for the future public. According to Metro, PSG’s forward will continue his collaboration with the French side despite being played out of position in order to make space for Ibrahimovic. Even though Cavani’s tone was not positive, he still insisted that he will do the best he can to keep the club happy with his performances. Pulling himself off the market could be great news for Arsenal fans who were already starting to express their disapproval with Wenger’s interest in another striker instead of a defender.

Cavani would have been quite expensive. Even with his qualities, it would have been strange to see Wenger spend a lot of money on a striker when he already has enough great forwards to choose from. When it comes to defenders though, the Gunners have great difficulties putting together a competitive line-up. With the money needed to sign Cavani, Arsenal could easily bring in three amazing players who are both young and experienced.

The Uruguayan has snubbed all rumors regarding his transfer not only the ones linking him to Arsenal. It appears that he will not be performing in the Premier League anytime soon despite his difficult situation with PSG. His plan is to probably wait for Ibrahimovich to either leave or retire in order to take his place.
