A report in the Express, indicated that Quintero was to fly out to London to complete a £16 million transfer to the Emirates Stadium. However, the attacking midfielder’s agent has rubbished such reports and gave an insight on the possibility of him being sold this summer.

Quintero, who joined Porto only last summer, is the subject of interest from clubs in England and Spain but only an offer of £32 million can force Porto’s hand.

The agent revealed, “Porto never talked to negotiate Juan Quintero. There are clubs interested, there is much interest in the player, the clubs in Spain and England, but to leave would be one willing to pay the termination clause of the club.”

The 21-year-old impressed for Colombia at the World Cup and also scored the winner against Ivory Coast in the Group C qualifying round.
