Bendtner Admits Leaving Arsenal Is No Longer Just A Rumor

Arsene Wenger has given Nicklas Bendtner numerous chances to prove himself and become the player he so confidently believed he could be. Unfortunately the Danish striker will most likely be remembered as one of the most eccentric players to perform for the North London side rather than as the iconic forward he was set on becoming since starting his senior career as a Gunner. His off pitch behavior has always influenced his performance and kept him from becoming a team regular.

After almost a decade spent playing under Wenger’s supervision, Bendtner has reached the conclusion it is time to part ways with Arsenal.  Despite being sent on loan for the past two seasons, he returned confident he can finally become a key player for the Gunners. To be fair, the Gunners were in need of some extra fire power which failed to find its way to London during the summer transfer window. Unfortunately, since returning from his loan to Juventus, the Danish player has managed only 9 appearances in which he has fired 8 shots and scored twice.

According to the Daily Mail, the 26 year old forward admitted to the fact that this is probably going to be his last season at the Emirates. Bendtner insisted though he will still try his best no matter what is current situation is. While being interviewed before Denmark’s game against England, Arsenal’s striker tried pointing out the fact that he was always keen on playing for Wenger no matter how difficult that was for him to achieve. He also mentioned the fact that his lack of time spent on the pitch is affecting him regardless of his strong character and professionalism.
