Arsenal are believed to be among the Premier League clubs weighing up a bid for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram when the transfer window opens.
The Gunners have been linked with the 25-year-old, along with the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle and Manchester United, in recent days as they consider potential replacements for Gabriel Jesus.
Thuram, who was part of France’s squad that reached the World Cup final, is out of contract in the summer, meaning he could be available relatively cheaply as well, and many fans on Twitter would back a move for the player:
Beast sign him up. Strong and can dribble

He rally impressed me especially in the final. His physicality, speed, ability to take on defenders is very commendable. If he fits into Arteta'a style of play is another thing.

I’d take him if the price was right. Great cover for all the forwards and can even challenge for a starting spot. Great physicality for premier league.

It should also be pointed out that Thuram has been in great form for Gladbach this campaign, having bagged 13 goals in all competitions, which indicates that he could hit the ground running if he makes the switch to the Emirates.
Whether the Frenchman possesses the pace and work rate that manager Mikel Arteta demands from his front three, though, it is debatable, so we shall see if Arsenal do firm up their interest in the forward.
