Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe had an outstanding game despite Huddersfield succumbing to a 3-2 defeat to Fulham yesterday afternoon.

The 19-year-old is currently on loan with the Terriers, and he was in top form, scoring the Championship side’s opening goal and providing the assist for Steven Mounie’s second.

Supporters on Twitter have been praising Smith Rowe and are excited by his potential, with some even comparing him with Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne:

Smith Rowe has had his issues with injuries over the last eighteen months. A groin problem hampered his loan spell at RB Leipzig in the second half of last season, and it was an issue that was still troubling him at the beginning of this campaign.

With game time at senior level needed, it was decided that the teenager would go out on loan to Huddersfield. He has started three games for Danny Cowley’s side, but his performance against Fulham at Craven Cottage was certainly his best so far.
