Aurier Endorsed By Drogba

Aurier Endorsed By Drogba

Arsenal might get their first big transfer after the World Cup ends. Serge Aurier who managed impressive performances against Japan and Colombia, has become a primary target for Wenger who is looking to replace Sagna. According to the Guardian, the Toulouse right-back who made his Brazil debut with two assists, will be moving to the Premier League. Drogba gave away some information after publicly praising the 21 year old defender who according to the former Chelsea striker, will be moving to UK next season.

Currently under contract with Toulouse, Aurier is valued at £6 million which is a real bargain for a player with his qualities. Arsenal should move quickly though as the Ivorian seems to be increasing his value with every World Cup match. The Gunners have yet to sign any new players despite having the biggest transfer budget in the club’s history.

Aurier seems like the perfect solution for Arsenal’s right side – he is fast and has some great passing and crossing skills plus he can beat a man one-on-one and get to the by-line to deliver a telling cross as he did many times vs Colombia. He is young and strong which means he can still grow a lot and develop into a star-quality footballer. Wenger is the man to help him achieve that considering how keen the Frenchman always is on working with youngsters. Hopefully Aurier will be convinced by Arsenal’s policy towards young players who have always been given the chance to perform, regardless of age.
