Arsenal will have to pay £36m if they want to sign Valencia winger Carlos Soler this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly a big fan of the player, but they will face competition from the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid for the 23-year-old’s signature.
It is said that Arsenal may see Soler’s price tag as too steep, and while Valencia’s financial difficulties could force them into selling for less, the number of teams interested in the Spaniard could work against the London club.
Soler is generally utilised as a right-winger and considering the Gunners already have record signing Nicolas Pepe who can play in that position, the pursuit of the Valencia star is a puzzling one.
If the asking price does end up being too much for the club, it is thought Arsenal will continue to look for reinforcements in midfield in order to strengthen Arteta’s options ahead of next season.
