Arsenal are among the Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Oscar Gloukh, according to The Sun.

The English tabloid claims that the Gunners, Manchester United and Liverpool all had “scouts watching” the 19-year-old during the last international break.

Gloukh played the full 90 minutes in both of Israel’s European Championship qualifiers last week, and he even got on the scoresheet, bagging an important equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Romania.

After catching the eye, it’s likely that Arsenal will continue to monitor his progress over the coming weeks and months.

Gloukh only moved clubs at the start of this year

The Israeli international’s talent was spotted by Red Bull Salzburg back in January and he was snapped up from Maccabi Tel-Aviv for £6m, despite a late attempt to hijack the move by Barcelona.

It is almost certain that Gloukh will cost many times that figure if the Gunners choose to make a bid for the playmaker in the New Year or at the end of the season, especially if there is competition from the likes of United and Liverpool.

Arsenal do have plenty of No.10s already

Despite Gloukh’s undoubted potential, it is hard to see where he would fit in if he did secure a transfer to the Emirates in the future.

The midfielder generally prefers to play as a no.10, which is not a position that manager Mikel Arteta is short of options in. In addition to captain Martin Odegaard, the likes of Fabio Vieira, Kai Havertz and Emile Smith Rowe can play there.

Gloukh was deployed as a winger by Israel during the European Under 21 Championships back in June and July, but it is certainly not his natural position.
