‘Fantastic Signing’ ‘Activate The Release Clause ASAP’ – Arsenal Fans Back Move For £34M Bundesliga Star

Arsenal “plan to activate” Jeremie Frimpong’s release clause in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim that the Gunners are prepared to pay the Bayer Leverkusen wingback’s buyout fee as soon as it can be triggered at the end of the season.

Frimpong is also said to be a target for likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United but Mikel Arteta’s side are hoping to beat their rivals to secure the player’s signature. Fans on X would be delighted with the addition of the defender to Arsenal’s squad:

Frimpong has been a key player for Leverkusen

The Dutchman came through Manchester City’s academy before making his first-team breakthrough at Celtic. He earned himself a move to the Bundesliga in 2021 but it has taken him a while to find his feet in Germany.

Xabi Alonso’s appointment as Leverkusen’s head coach has undoubtedly accelerated Frimpong’s development. The fullback ended up scoring 9 goals and providing 11 assists last season, and he already has 17 goal involvements this campaign.

It would raise doubts about a current Arsenal player’s future

If Frimpong were to secure a move to the Emirates this summer, it may spell the end of Ben White as a first-team regular.

The 26-year-old has done a commendable job filling in at right-back over the past couple of seasons but he does lack quality in the final third of the pitch. Frimpong, on the other hand, has demonstrated that he is excellent in forward areas.
