Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, according to reports.
The German international is expected to leave the Blues this summer, and it appears the Gunners will be in contention for his signature.
Fans on Twitter are rather perplexed as to why the club would be interested in Havertz, and most don’t believe he would be a good addition to the squad:
Tell me this is a joke abeg, how can they watch this guy and come to the conclusion that he’d be a good addition.

Discussions between Arsenal and Havertz
It is believed that the Gunners haven’t formally approached Chelsea about signing the 23-year-old yet, with the club said to be working on persuading the player to make the switch to the Emirates.
Qualification for the Champions League may make Arsenal a more attractive destination for Havertz, and it would also allow him to stay in London.
Chelsea are expected to hold out for a sizeable transfer fee
There have been some reports suggesting that the Blues would be open to offloading Havertz for around €60m (£51.6m), but it has also been claimed that they may hold out for as much as £75m; the figure he was signed for in 2020.
You can’t see Arsenal spending that much on a forward, especially when they want to strengthen other areas of the pitch.
If they shell out £100m+ on West Ham captain Declan Rice, and £50m+ on another midfielder, the Gunners won’t be splashing out on Havertz as well. It’s probably wise to treat this transfer rumour with a large pinch of salt.
