Sami Khedira looks set on leaving Madrid after the Spaniards decided it is time to let some of their players go. Khedira, Di Maria, Casillas, Diego Lopez and Benzema could be available sometime soon which has got Wenger thinking. The Frenchman is, according to talkSPORT, a big fan of Khedira who is performing in Brazil. The young midfielder has had trouble finding his spot in Ancelotti’s team. The Italian did not use Khedira as much as Mourinho and has also hinted towards the fact that it would be better if the German international found another team.

Khedira will be a perfect fit for Arsenal who have no star-quality defensive midfielder. Khedira would not only bring that extra level of security to the Gunners’ defense but will also improve the cohesion of the team. With him and Ozil being colleagues for some time and with Mertesacker and Podolski performing next to the 27 year old during national selections, he would represent the perfect fit for Wenger’s midfield.

Khedira’s move to Arsenal seems to depend on Chelsea. If the Blues decide to sell Ramires and bring in Modric, it is very likely that the German international will leave Spain. Arsenal currently have the biggest advantage over their adversaries who have no chance of offering the same group of German players, except for Bayern Munich though who are also looking for a defensive midfielder.

Let’s hope our current German players can get in Sami’s ear and convince him that his future lies in London and not the sunnier climes of other European cities.
