Arsenal Targeting One Of Germany’s Most Promising Players

Arsenal redirect their attention towards another promising German footballer. After missing out on one of their main targets who decided to sign with Bayern, the Gunners are looking to move fast and secure Matthias Ginter’s move to North London. The 6’2 youngster is currently with Freiburg and has quickly become one of the most important parts of the German side. He is the youngest player ever to score for Freiburg and he has been a team regular since last year.

Matthias Ginter is under contract until 2015, which gives Freiburg the upper hand as far as his transfer goes. According to Metro, he is valued at 6 million pounds which is a pretty decent price considering his age and the fact that he is probably going to be worth at least twice as much very soon. The 19 year old would be a great addition to Wenger’s team and would also quickly become a team regular. He is now playing as a defensive midfielder which is exactly what the Gunners need after letting Song move to Barcelona. The team hasn’t been the same since and a fresh young footballer such as Matthias Ginter might change things up a bit. The young German started off as a central defender, but converted to his current position after showing excellent ball control and some amazing skills.

Arsenal have a definite advantage that could influence Matthias Ginter’s choice. The Gunners already have Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker, Thomas Eisfield and Serge Gnabry, who would make life a lot easier for the 19 year old. He will be able to adapt much easier to Premier League conditions when knowing that four of his fellow countrymen are already there.

Matthias Ginter will probably be called in to help his national team in the next couple of years if not sooner. He currently has managed 7 caps for the U18 and U19 teams. His future looks very promising and moving to Arsenal at such a young age may influence his career for the better. He has excellent qualities that will surely only be improved upon after a few years of working with Wenger.
