The Argentine has been likened to compatriot Sergio Aguero for his finishing skills and has caught the eye for Palermo in Serie A this season. He has received glowing praise from club owner Maurizio Zamparini and also from former Manchester United defender Phil Neville.

Zamparini claimed he is the best striker in Italy and also quoted his price for interested parties. He said, “Within two years, he’s going to be better than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. It would take €40m (£31m) to take him away from us. He’s the best striker in Serie A.”

Neville also told his twitter followers to watch out for Dybala. He recently tweeted, “Watched a player last night who’s going to be a star Palermos Argentine Dybala remember the name.”

It would be a major coup for Arsenal to land such a talented youngster and Daily Star is reporting that the Gunners are closing to agreeing a deal with Palermo for the 21-year-old. Wenger could either pay £31 million in January or expect a price reduction by waiting till next summer.
