Arsenal Target Dybala Set For Contract Talks

The 21-year-old Paulo Dybala has recently been talked about in the same breath as Ronaldo and Messi, with the talented striker tipped to outshine the duo in the coming years. Some top clubs across Europe are linked with the prolific striker, and Palermo had quoted a minimum of £31 million (€40) to prise him away.

However, Palermo are obviously keen to tie down their star to a new deal and are currently in negotiations over a new contract, according to Daily Star. Dybala spoke about the interest shown by Arsenal but also said that he is looking to extend his stay at the club.

He said, “With the director and with Zamparini we are talking about renewal, I think it will come to an agreement. The president said I’m worth 40 million? I do not think, my duty is to take the field.”

He added, “To know that someone like that [Arsenal] thinks highly of me fills me with pride. I can’t deny that going to Arsenal and playing in the Premier League would be great, but at the moment I’m a Palermo player.”
