Arsenal Star Delivers Ultimatum Over His Future As He Claims He Has Multiple Clubs Looking To Sign Him

Arsenal goalkeeper Emi Martinez has claimed that he has at least ten clubs interested in signing him this summer.

The 27-year-old, who has been linked with Chelsea, impressed when covering for Bernd Leno at the back end of last season, but the shot-stopper is now keen to be a regular starter for the Gunners. Speaking in an interview, the Argentine says he needs to be given assurances about his future or he will consider leaving the Emirates:

“I want to stay at Arsenal, but if I play more minutes. Because on a personal level and my age, I need to have confidence that I will be given as many minutes as possible. I am in the sights of ten teams in Europe. But I can’t say who those clubs are, because it’s nothing concrete. I still do not have a clear situation with Arsenal, when I have it when I return I will make the best decision for my career.”

Martinez is Arsenal’s longest-serving player so he can’t be accused of being hasty with his desire to play more regularly. He has been patient for his chance in the first team and if head coach Mikel Arteta does opt to hand the gloves back to Leno, it would be understandable if the Argentinian international wanted to leave.

The keeper did not put a foot wrong when he was handed his opportunity last campaign and he has now given Arteta a big decision to make about who will be his number one next season.
