Arsenal Running Out Of Time For Rami

According to talkSPORT, Arsenal are running out of time in their chase of Valencia defender Adil Rami, who is reportedly close to securing a permanent switch to Italian giants AC Milan, currently managed by Clarence Seedorf.

Arsenal are looking to add depth to their squad, and the disastrous second half of the season has convinced the club’s board that signings are needed to keep up with clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City. The Gunners were unexpected challengers for Barclays Premier League title, but could not maintain their challenge due to injuries and increasing frequency of matches.

Rami began his youth career at Frejus in 1994 as an academy player, but soon moved to Lille, where he found his feet in professional football. The experience at Lille helped, and Rami secured a move to Valencia in 2011. He played 61 matches for the Spanish club, scoring 2 goals in the process. This spell also includes a currently ongoing loan spell at Milan, which has convinced the player of the merits of a permanent move. Arsenal are also looking to reinforce the squad, and Wenger’s man management skills have ensured French players succeed at the club. However, the Gunners must make a move quickly to stand a chance of signing the player.
