Arsenal Prepare For Aurier’s Arrival

Arsenal have broken the ice on the transfer market after reportedly signing 21 year old defender Serge Aurier. The Ivorian who was repeatedly linked to the Gunners over the past few weeks will probably move to North London after spending two years playing for Toulouse. Currently no official statement has been released to the press. Even so, the only thing that was left for this move to be finalized was for the two clubs to reach an agreement. The defender was already set on leaving, with the Premier League as his main destination. According to the Daily Star, Aurier will come in as a replacement for Sagna who just joined Manchester City.

The youngster is seen as one of the most promising players of his generation. At just 21 he has already made almost a dozen appearances for his national team not to mention his 100+ games played in Ligue 1 for Lens and then for Toulouse. It is the perfect moment for this particular transfer for both the player and Arsenal. The Gunners will benefit off of his services without paying too much and Aurier will benefit of off the North Londoner’s youth oriented team building.

Things will clear up as soon as the World Cup ends if not for all teams at least for the Ivory Coast which could return home at the end of the week if they fail to put in a good performance against Grece.
