Arsenal Over Confident About FA Cup?

Arsenal have already planned their victory parade through London on 18th May, one day after their FA Cup final against Hull City at the Wembley Stadium, as reported by Metro.

The Gunners are in a strong position to break their trophy drought that has almost made fans wait a decade for a trophy to enter the club’s cabinet. Under Steve Bruce, Hull City have finished decently in the Barclays Premier League, and have an genuine opportunity to earn the club silverware. Arsenal will be without long term absentee Theo Walcott, but all other key players are available to play a part on Sunday. Arsene Wenger, has been beaten in the final of the League Cup by Birmingham City in recent history where Obafemi Martins’ late strike ensured Alex McLeish’s men went home with the winner’s medals. This time around, Hull will bring a different challenge, and players like Tom Huddlestone will play a crucial part in the heart of the midfield.

As optimistic as the fans are, surely planning a parade a week before facing the opposition will not go down well with the Hull players. The plan was revealed after a signage in London warning the public in advance about the roads being closed due to a planned parade by Arsenal and hopefully the Gunners have not jinxed themselves by making this plan public – it will be a nightmare if they lose and will leave them open to all kinds of jokes and ridicule should Hull City pull off the upset.
