Roy Keane Agrees With Gary Neville As They Predict The Result Of Brentford V Arsenal

Sky Sports pundits Roy Keane and Gary Neville both expect Arsenal to record a narrow victory when they face Brentford on Saturday evening.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, the two former Manchester United teammates tipped the Gunners to win by a one-goal margin, but Keane disagreed that Mikel Arteta’s side will keep a clean sheet:

Neville said: “Arsenal are winning that. 1-0 Arsenal, ” while Keane replied: “It’s not going to be 1-0, is it? 2-1 Arsenal.”

Arsenal went to the Gtech Community Stadium and won 1-0 last year, so Keane is being a bit pedantic when he disagrees with Neville. Nonetheless, they predict the away side will secure the 3 points.

Arteta will have to make changes to his starting eleven

David Raya is ineligible as he can’t play against his parent club so Aaron Ramsdale will be in goal this weekend. There are also question marks about the fitness of Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus after they played for Brazil early on Wednesday morning UK Time.

Out of the three, Jesus is the likeliest to be named on the bench, having only just recovered from a lengthy hamstring injury.

Brentford will provide a stern test for Arsenal

It is important to note that the Bees have only lost once at home so far this season, which was against Everton back in September.

In their other five games, Thomas Frank’s team has beaten Burnley and West Ham, as well as drawn versus Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. They may have lost to Liverpool away last time out but the xG from that match was nearly identical between the two teams, suggesting they were unlucky to lose at Anfield. For that reason, the Gunners should not be anticipating an easy contest.
