Lee Dixon Makes Exciting Prediction About Arsenal Ace Who Has Scored 4 Goals In His Last 4 League Games

Arsenal legend Lee Dixon says “there’s more to come” from Kai Havertz in a Gunners shirt.

The German international initially struggled following his £65m move from Chelsea in the summer but, speaking to BetVictor, Dixon said the forward is beginning to come out of his shell:

“I can see Kai Havertz continuing to get better and better for Arsenal. I was always saying to give him time when everyone was criticising him earlier this season and questioning how much he cost and why Arsenal signed him. He’s still young, still learning where his best position is – Mikel Arteta has moved him around a bit.”

“He’s always been a very talented footballer, you can see that in him, but sometimes he didn’t look very happy when he first came to Arsenal or Chelsea. He seems quite a shy person and sometimes it takes a while to settle in.

“We’re now seeing better from him but I still think there’s more to come from Kai, but that’s only a plus for Arsenal. Playing in a team like this, if you can’t start to feel good about yourself then you shouldn’t be playing, and he certainly looks as if he’s enjoying his football a bit more now at Arsenal.”

Havertz has found his feet in recent weeks

The 24-year-old has hit the back of the net in each of his last four league games, and that’s a stark contrast from his form at the start of the campaign when he scored just one penalty in his opening 12 matches.

As Dixon mentions, it wasn’t all his own fault, with manager Mikel Arteta having moved him around a number of positions. However, since he began playing regularly as a No.9, he has looked very impressive. Other pundits, including Rio Ferdinand, have commented on his improved performances too.

Of course, there is still a long way to go before Havertz justifies the sizeable fee that Arsenal spent on him last year but he is very much moving in the right direction.
