Arsenal May Still Have A Chance To Sign Alvaro Morata

Real Madrid may help Arsenal hold on to first place in the Premier League until the end of the season. It appears Ancelotti’s firm position regarding a possible deal between Real and the Gunners might have changed.

Wenger who was told off by Real’s manager just a few days back seems to really want Morata on his team at least until the end of the 2013-2014 season. The young Spain U21 international has caught the eye of two other important clubs though which might make the whole deal a lot harder than it already is.

Juventus and Inter Milan are according to Metro, the two sides that could change Morata’s destination. Even if Ancelotti insisted no one will leave this winter, he still remains unhappy with the way the 21 year old striker behaves on pitch.

Morata currently has to compete with Ronaldo, Benzema and Jese for a spot in the starting line-up. This makes him Ancelotti’s 4th option which could be in Arsenal’s favor as long as Wenger is willing to outbid Juve and Inter.

It is hard to believe though that the Spaniard could chose Italy if Real do decide to send him on loan. He is much more suited for the Premier League and especially for Arsenal’s playing style who need a striker with a similar profile to that of Giroud. Morata is a box striker who could bring that much needed fire power the Gunners need to keep up with teams like Liverpool or City who have some of the best forwards in the world.

Arsenal will have to top their previous offer which according to rumors, was somewhere around £2 million.
