Arsenal Looking Forward To The Summer

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have increased their possible target list when it comes to strikers. Valencia’s Francisco Alcacer might just be able to provide the Gunners with the much needed fire power missing on several occasions. The 20 year old Spaniard made his senior debut back in 2009 for Valencia B. in his 64 appearances he has managed to score 42 times. His efficiency in front of goal caught the attention of the club’s managerial team who promoted the striker who started playing in the Primera Division at the age of 17.

Alcacer has improved his game considerably after spending a season on loan with Getafe. He is now Valencia’s first choice for the starting eleven. After failing to sign players like Suarez and Villa, the U21 Spanish international seems a much more achievable target.

Valencia’s striker may end up playing next to Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata who also made Wenger’s list even since January. After pushing for a loan, Arsenal gave up trying to make a deal with the Spanish side during the winter transfer period. Even so, Morata still has a chance of becoming a Gunner after the end of this season.

Wenger will surely try closing the deals with Valencia and Real as soon as the summer transfer period starts. With Bendtner almost out of the picture, Giroud would remain the Gunners’ single true striker capable of performing at the highest level possible. Hopefully the Frenchman will get some competition and some help at the same time from one of the two forwards mentioned before. Both fit the same profile and both seem to have promising futures ahead.
